Uganda’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 821 As Country Registers 16 New Cases
Uganda now has a cumulative total of 821 COVID-19 cases after recording 16 new cases, according to the Ministry of Health.
The 16 new cases were from 3,455 samples tested on June 24. Five of the new cases were among 1,626 samples tested from Points of Entry while 11 were among 1,825 samples of alerts and contacts.
The ministry says all the confirmed cases are Ugandan nationals.
A total of seven foreign truck drivers including 4 Kenyans, 2 Tanzanians and a Burundian tested positive for COVID-19 and we’re handed over to their respective country of origin.
The total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Uganda are now 821, 731 recoveries and no related deaths.
