UGANDA HITS 902 COVID-19 CASES AFTER NINE NEW CASES EMERGED

The cumulative total confirmed cases of Ugandans are now 902 after nine new COVID-19 cases were found.

Two of the truck drivers arrived from Kenya via Malaba border while seven are contacts with people with the disease before two were got from Amuru district and five were got from Tororo district.

27 foreign truck drivers tested positive for COVID-19 and were not allowed into the country rather escorted to their home of origin to get treatment.

Uganda now has 188 active cases on admission 163 of whom are Ugandans, 19 foreigners and 6 refugees.

Total number of people recovered both Ugandans and Foreigners stands at 847.
