SSEMWOGERERE TO ACCOMPLISH KIZITOS HANGING TOIL

The Pope has appointed Bishop Paul Ssemwogerere as the apostolic administrator for Kampala archdiocese.
This follows the death of the Archbishop Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga who was buried on the afternoon of Thursaday 8th April 2021 inside Rubaga Cathedral.
Pope Francis has appointed the bishop of Kasana Luwero Diocese, Paul Ssemwogerere as the apostolic administrator of Kampala archdiocese.
Revealed by Luigi Bianco, the Papal Nuncio to Uganda as he read Pope Francis’s message to the mourners gathered at the final sendoff of Dr Lwanga at Rubaga Cathedral this afternoon.
“The church will dearly miss the fallen archbishop’s humble service” Pope said in a statement.
BUGANDA VERSION OF THE LATE CYPRIAN
The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi 11 has eulogized the fallen archbishop of Kampala Dr Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, for his love for his kingdom and Mamba clan.
Kabaka in his letter addressed to the chairman of the Uganda episcopal conference, read by the Buganda premier, Charles Peter Mayiga, at the final send-off of Dr Lwanga, said he will never forget his commitment to fight for the voiceless and to ensure rule of law.
Meanwhile Kabaka revealed that Dr Lwanga due to his love to Kabaka Muteesa 1 he built a museum which he named after him and asked him to launch it though he has died before fulfilling his dream Buganda will launch this Museum soon

Bishop Paul Ssemogerere was born on 30th June 1956 is a Roman Catholic prelate who is also the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kasana-Luweero, in Uganda where he was appointed Bishop of Kasana-Luweero on 4th June 2008 to replace Dr.Cyprian Kizito Lwanga who had been elevated to Archbishop.
He was ordained a priest on 3rd June 1983 and consecrated Bishop on 23rd August 2008by Cyprian Kizito Lwanga.
He attended Kigero Primary School before transferring to Kisubi Boys Primary School and then studied at St. Maria Goretti Senior Secondary School Katende, where he completed his O-Level studies.
In 1976, Ssemogerere and seven other young men became pioneer students at St Mbaaga Seminary at Ggaba, this was the first class of this seminary, which specializes in admitting men to train as priests when they are older than usual, and without attending minor Seminary.
In 1978, the late Cardinal Emmanuel Kiwanuka Nsubuga sent Ssemogerere to the Saint Francis de Sales Seminary, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the United States, where he graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 1982.
On 21th November 1981, he was ordained a deacon by Archbishop Rembert George Weakland, the Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
He was ordained a Priest on 3rd June 1983 at Kampala, by Cardinal Emmanuel Nsubuga, Archbishop of Kampala and he served as a priest in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kampala, at Christ the King in Kampala until 4th June 2008 when he was appointed Bishop.
He was appointed Bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kasana-Luweero, on 4th June 2008 and was consecrated as Bishop on 23rd August 2008 at Kasana-Luweero by Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, Archbishop of Kampala, assisted by Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala, Cardinal-Priest of Sant’Ugo, and Cardinal Emeritus of Kampala and Archbishop Paul Tschang In-Nam, Titular Archbishop of Amantia and Papal Nuncio to Uganda at that time.
