MINISTER WELCOMES KOODI BA DEAR

Top Media Consortium has officially launched the new look of top tv and promotion of KOODI BA DEAR which entails local series commonly known to many as kinauganda to entertain Ugandans.

The series include Gutujja, Sentebe ,, Boda boda ,among  others, which features  many prominent local  actors and actresses.

The founding Director TOP Media, Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga says the aim of KOODI ba Dear is to promote (Ugandan) local content, drive away boredom and also real-life lessons.

Ssenyonga adds that. Through this campaign of KOODI ba Dear, employment opportunities for over 1000 people have been created.

“The Top Media Consortium is the largest media entity in Uganda with nine radio stations and two Television which serves well the country” Said Ssenyonga.

He prides in owning the largest media entity in Uganda which are providing information, edutainment, food for the soul and promotion of the government services  

Ssenyonga rallied the various companies to come on board and support the idea of Buy Uganda Build Uganda through promotion of the local drama series.

 Among the companies that attended the official launch of the rebrand of top Television includes: Liquid telecom, Finca Uganda, Alleluia Health drink, Kampala Capital City Authority and many more.

 The launch at Mestil hotel was graced by a number of ministers including the permanent secretary from the ministry of health Dr. Diana Atwine, Minister in charge of ICT and national guidance Judith Nabakooba.

Nabakooba commended Pastor Ssenyonga for the efforts invested in promoting the local content by starting to air out the series which do not only entertain people but also serve as a learning avenue to the population.

“These series do feature daily life, every day today activities and moments so by watching, people pick some information on how to relate and treat people in the society” Nabakooba cites. She also informs the public to appreciate what Top TV has brought on board but reminds them to keep SOPs in places where they are since COVID 19 is still a threat.
