The minister of state for International Affairs Okello Oryem has warned parliament to desist from attacking a foreign country in its discussion whenever there is an issue causing a standoff between the two countries.

Recently, members of parliament attacked South Sudan government over consistent attacks on Ugandan traders operating within South Sudan.
”it is possible for members of parliament to travel to South Sudan and talk to the South Sudan government regarding killings of traders to avoid causing the diplomatic crisis between the two countries” Oryem said before the committee.
He said that as government they are engaging South Sudan in a diplomatic way, but as the ministers of foreign Affairs they have a limit of what they can say when there is a problem.
In march this year, at least nine Ugandan drivers were killed in deadly road ambushes by armed military groups operating in neighboring South Sudan
