Man Gruesomely Murders Three Children, Injures 8 In Kyankwanzi

Three children have Tuesday been cut dead in Kyankwanzi District by one of the male residents.

The incident occurred at Kagarama LC1, Butemba Town Council in Kyankwanzi district at around 10am, where a one Emmanuel gruesomely murdered the three children.

According to the spokesperson of the Police Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID), Twiine Charles, police in the area received a phone call from one of the residents who informed them that Emmanuel armed with a panga had attacked a home of kalfred Mushabe was cutting people and that some of them had ran for thier dear lives.

“Immediately they ran, Emmanuel cut a baby identified as Tayebwa Isaac aged only 4 years son to Kalfred Mushabe,” Twiine says.

“Emmanuel proceeded to another home of workers at a maize plantation and threatened to cut the women whom he found working at the plantation”

“Unfortunately as the women ran away Emmanuel cut dead two more kids, namely Nakyindi Nora, aged 3 years, and Ninsiima Joel, aged 9 months,” he adds.

Twiine explains that as the survivors were making an alarm, the killer disappeared into a big maize plantation where police and the community are vigorously persuing him.

Residents say that Emmanuel came to that village and hired land from Kalfred Mushabe (whose home he attacked) where he has been cultivating maize and also staying alone in his makeshift house (Manyatta)

They further said they were shocked by this gruesome murder since there has not been any known conflict between Emmanuel and the victims and neither do they know him to be a person living with insanity.

Meanwhile, the CID spokesperson, says postmortem has been done at the scene, and more than 8 other people who were badly injured by Emmanuel have been taken to Butemba Health Centre III and others refered to Hoima General Hospital for proper treatment.

We extended our condolences to the grieved families and pledge to persue this killer and arrign him to Court for prosecution,” says Twiine.
