The Seychelles has fully vaccinated over 60% of its population against Covid-19.
Despite them being vaccinated, the country is bringing back restrictions amid a rise in cases.
The archipelago has nearly 100,000 people and has recorded close to 500 new cases in the three days with about 1,000 active cases.
The country’s news agency said a third of the active cases involved people who had had two vaccine doses already.
The rest had either had a single dose or were unvaccinated according to the findings.
Among the closed places include schools, restaurants, shops, sport grounds and sports activities cancelled for two weeks while some gatherings have been banned.
