Chief Justice Bart Katureebe hands over office
Chief Justice Bart Katureebe has today handed over office to his Deputy, Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo as the acting chief justice.
For the next three months, Katureebe will be finalizing some of the pending cases, he is been serving in this position for the last five year.
Owinyi will be sitting in until the President General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni appoints the new chief justice.
Ugandans always considered Katureebe capable of making a much better chief justice than what justice Steven Kavuma and Benjamin Josses had offered although not withstanding his National Resistance Movement Cadre credentials.
