BRING TO BOOK DIFILERS, MINISTER COMMANDS!

The State Minister for health in charge of general duties Hon. Robinah Nabanja has ordered police to investigate and bring to book all defilers in Mayuge district.

This was after a World Vision report recently indicated that 612 school going girls were defiled and others impregnated in Bukaboli Sub County Mayuge district during Covid 19 lockdown.

The minister made the order while launching piped water and Bilharzia medicines at Bukoto lakeview primary at Bukoto landing site in Bukaboli Sub County, Mayuge district.

The annual crime police report indicated that 14,230 girls were defiled in Uganda in the year 2020.

According to the report released, the 14230 girls showed a 3.8% increase from the 13613 reported in the year 2019.

“The 9,954 victims were between the age of 15 and 17 whereas 2,986 were between the age of 14 and nine and 1,280 were below the age of eight”. According to the police report.
