Rubaga Boda Boda Killers Arrested, One Killed By Mob

A suspected killers who strangled to death a boda boda rider at Kakeeka Zone in Rubaga Division on June 30 has been arrested, Police says.
The incident which was captured on the CCTV cameras of a nearby nursery and primary school, shows killers posed as potential clients, attacking strangling and repeatedly hitting him with a stone to the head leading to his instant death before immediately taking off with his motorcycle.
Now in a statement by the spokesperson of Kampala Metropolitan Police, SP Patrick Onyango, one of the suspects identified as Mugisha John Bosco alias Mukiga was on Tuesday night arrested at Nsiike I, Ndeeba in Rubaga Division after a tip off.
He says the suspect who admitted to be the one the widely circulated CCTV video on Social media says his colleague in the clip known as Young Mulo (not the musician) has been killed by mob after their (Mugisha and Young Mulo) other motorcycle robbery in Mityana district.
“Mugisha admits that they had robbed the motorcycle from Mityana on 2/7/2019 and they traced it up to Makindye in Kampala, where the mib killed his colleague,” Onyango said, adding that the suspect alleges he escaped that day he escaped and went to Kabale.
Onyango says, Mugisha has several times been arrested and he has been to Luzira maximum prison many times on Robbery cases.
He is currently detained at Katwe Police Station pending transfer to Old Kampala Police Station and is to be charged with murder and aggravated robbery.
